Fast fashion leads to more and more purchases of clothes, which we wear less and less often, before throwing them in the landfill. The fashion industry dictates what we should wear and imposes quality standards that are often very modest in terms of quality of materials and manufacturing.
At Sakaïna, we want to create meaningful works of art for our customers, pieces that remind them of an event or a loved one, like a tattoo printed on their skin. It is through this approach that we want to bring them real added value.
Production to order
At Sakaïna, we believe that the future of clothing lies in made-to-order or custom manufacturing.
Although made-to-order manufacturing is more expensive and involves longer lead times than mass production, it offers higher quality, ensuring a longer lifespan for the garments.
In addition, the environmental impact is considerably reduced.
Mass production today generates more than 90 million tonnes of waste and contributes to 10% of global carbon emissions each year.
Made-to-order manufacturing minimizes waste and pollution, contributing to more sustainable and responsible fashion.
Our ways...
At Sakaïna, we design inspiring collections thought up in Luxembourg and produced partly in Asia (PRC), in accordance with the highest industry standards, notably SA8000, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Our creations are then examined and finalized in a sewing workshop in Belgium before being shipped to you.
